    TODAY is the last day to submit an entry in our peace poster competition. The theme this year is Cultivating a Culture of Peace. See Mrs. Brooking or Ms. Thompson for more information or to submit your poster.

 

    If you are taking a HEALTH ACCESS course Mrs. Mac is available to schedule testing on Mondays and Tuesdays during Advisory.  Please email her to setup a time, jmcgillivray@tcss.net

 

    If you are interested in joining Art Club and missed our first meeting, you can pick up a form from Mrs. Thompson to join.

 

    JUNIORS: Interested in helping with the pomp board for Homecoming?  Bring your ideas and your friends to Mrs. Gossett’s room, 1504, next Tuesday at 3:15.   

 

 

    Seniors- Jostens will be on Campus during Advisory TODAY for the Senior Supply Presentation. This is where you learn about cap and gown options. They will return during lunches on September 17th to collect orders and payment. Please make plans to be present! There will NOT be a makeup presentation.

 

    The first FCA huddle of the year kicks off tomorrow- Tuesday, September 10th at 7:15am in the Community Room. All are welcome!

 

    Spanish club will be having a meeting during advisory on Friday, September 13th in the cafeteria. All members need to attend.  

 

    This Thursday, September 13, TC Miracle will be hosting the Coffee Hut at TCHS during advisory. You can buy tickets that allow you to leave class and go to the food truck the Tuesday and Wednesday before or during lunch.

 

    Seniors, yearbook is looking for your Senior Sunrise pictures; please scan the QR codes posted around the school to submit your pictures.  

 

    SENIORS!!!!Nucor Technical Academy application is now open on the Nucor Website.  Interested parties should submit their application no later than Dec 1st, 2024...   

 

    Juniors and Seniors, a representative from Nucor Technical Academy will be on the TC campus September 24 during advisory.  You must sign up to attend.   Use the QR code below or talk to your advisory teacher to sign up. Sign up will close September 20

 

    Soccer Tryouts begin today for guys from 3:15-5:00. You must have a current physical to tryout. See Miss Rawden in room 2613 for questions. (9/3)

 

    Come out to See you at the Pole on Wednesday, September 25th at 7:30AM at the flag pole in front of the school.  

 

    If you’re a senior and missed your senior portrait this summer, make up day will be November 5th. There is no need to email Mrs. Carden, just mark your calendar for November 5th.  

 

    School Picture Day will be Tuesday, September 24th, please mark your calendars.

 

    Wednesday is the last day to join FTA – Future Teachers of Alabama!  All Members receive an FTA T-shirt once they have successfully completed their 1st volunteer assignment.  Come be a part of serving all our TCHS feeder schools! See Mrs. Fanning in Rm 1305 for an application. (Wednesday, Sept 11th)

    Come out to Wildcats in the Word Bible study every Wednesday morning at 7:25 in the library.

 

    10th-12th graders-  SPRING 25 Dual Enrollment Participation forms are now available on Schoology in the All Things Dual or Dual Enrollment Early College Folder.  QR access codes are also posted around the school, outside the Counseling suite and with Advisory teachers.   All forms must be turned in no later than NOV 12- TCHS Deadline.  Open Enrollment starts October 1st.   Forms can be turned into Mrs. McGillivray via the main office or via email, jmcgillivray@tcss.net-  You must turn in a Participation form to take a Dual or Early College course-  No exceptions.....No Form= No Approval

 

    Are you interested in learning more about Shelton State Dual Enrollment or UA Early College-? Then Sign up for the Informational workshop to be held in the library on September 16 .  Scan the QR code below, scan the flyer outside the counseling suite or ask your advisory teacher for the Flyer.  Signup will close on September 12th.    

     

 

    Seniors, don’t forget to purchase and design your Senior Ad for the yearbook. The Q-R Code is posted outside of Mrs. Carden’s room, go ahead and purchase your AD today!  

 

    Juniors and Seniors- Applications for the Science National Honor Society are available for pick up outside Ms. Farris’ room, Room 2212 . Applications must be turned in by Friday September 13. This is a hard deadline- no money is due at that time, but applications must be turned in by that date.

 

    Shelton State will host an ACT Preparation course for students preparing to take the ACT. The cost is $250.  It will be held on the Martin Campus of Shelton State from 4-6:00pm on Mondays: 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/16, 10/21. Email  ewyatt@sheltonstate.edu to register.  

 

    TCHS beaty walk 2024 will be November 2,2024. If you're interested in being in it, you can pick an entry form up from Mrs. Farmer in the front office. The entry fee is $55 and is due October 3 by 2pm.
