Thursday- exam make up day; students dismissed at 11:30AM, last day for students 

 

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

 

    If you are signed up to take an Advanced or Honors English course next year, you have a summer reading assignment.  There are flyers posted along the English hall, at the front of the school, and outside of the cafeteria.  You may also ask your English teacher if you are unable to find a flyer.  Please make sure you have read your book by the first day of school!  

 

    Summer school applications are now available outside Room 1401. Summer school includes credit recovery classes for students who did not pass a course, as well as advancement courses for students who would like to get ahead. Summer school begins June 1, and applications are due Wednesday, 5/27. Please email metowns@tcss.net with any questions. 

 

    Attention all students with a learner's permit- Do you need Drivers Education?   Easter Seals of West Alabama is now offering Drivers Education classes.  Please call 205-759-1211 or email eswa@eswaweb.org for more details.   

 

    Students: CHECK YOUR TCSS EMAIL DAILY- IMPORTANT INFORMATION regarding Graduation, Clubs, Dual etc... are being sent daily.

If you were part of Fan Club this year and would like a leadership role next year, apply on the TCHS website. Click on Fan Club under Activities and complete the Jedi Council application. See Mrs. Black in the library or Mr. Buchwalter in room 1404 for more information.  

 

ALL THINGS DUAL ENROLLMENT AND EARLY COLLEGE-   

 

Important Shelton Dual Dates:  

Shelton Dual enrollment summer classes begin on Monday, May 18 and end on July 27. If you are taking a summer class, make sure to log in to your SSCC Canvas on Monday to begin your course.

Martin Pizzeria is a new restaurant that just opened near TC, located beside Aldi and the Tea House. Mr. Martin would love to employ TCHS students after school or during the day if you are a co-op student. Must be at least 16 years old and have reliable transportation. They have several part-time positions available, including: cooks, dishwashers, take out staff, cashiers
