GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:  

    Attention all students with a learner's permit- Do you need Drivers Education?   Easter Seals of West Alabama is now offering Drivers Education classes.  Please call 205-759-1211 or email eswa@eswaweb.org for more details.   

 

    Students: CHECK YOUR TCSS EMAIL DAILY- IMPORTANT INFORMATION regarding Graduation, Clubs, Dual etc... are being sent daily.  

 

    11th graders- The University of Alabama is hosting a leadership summit on Jan 23.  If you are interested in attending, space is limited.  Check your TCSS email for the Interest Link.  Once you complete the interest form, Mrs. Mac will send you the registration form.  

 

    The TCHS Care Closet is hosting a November Food Drive, and we’re excited to announce that DECA has teamed up with us to make it a success! All donations will help keep our Care Closet stocked with food items for students in need and students in general. We’ll be collecting different items each week throughout November: November 10th–14th: Canned fruits, canned vegetables, and canned beans ; November 17th–21st: Healthy snacks, fruit bars, nonperishable breakfast foods, and dry cereals. Donations will be collected in Advisory classes.  

 

    9th grade students-  If you are interested in learning more about the NEW, FREE Healthcare Science school, please check your EMAIL.  Information has been sent regarding this amazing opportunity.   

 

    If you are a Shelton State Dual student and are taking a class FALL 25 (this semester), FINAL exam deadlines are FAST APPROACHING.   Check your announcements in CANVAS DAILY to see when your exam opens and to determine if you need an IN PERSON PROCTOR for your exam.  If you need to schedule an appointment to take your Final Exam at Shelton State or with Mrs. Naranjo (TCHS Dual Facilitator), please do so EARLY.  Mrs. Naranjo is scheduling for Dec 8-11.  No exams after DEC 11-  PLAN Accordingly. 

 

    If you are currently taking an ACCESS course this term, please read your course announcements-  Classes end on Dec 12 at 11:59PM. You must have everything complete and all testing done before that date.  Plan to finish your course and have all tests completed by Dec 11 just to be safe.

Seniors-  If you are taking a Shelton Dual course in the Spring and submitted a Freshman Application to Shelton please come and see Mrs. Mac ASAP no Later than THIS FRIDAY- NOV 14.  - or check your email for instructions.   

 

If you were absent or did not turn in your money to Jostens for your cap and gown, then you must order online or bring your order to the Northport Office. WE ARE NOT ABLE TO TAKE YOUR PAYMENT HERE AT THE SCHOOL OR HOLD ON TO MONEY FOR YOU!

ATHLETIC ANNOUNCEMENTS:  

    WILDCAT STUDENT REWARDS – Collect Points all year long.  

Step #1 - Students Purchase your All Sports Ticket Pass on GoFan. Save yourself over well over $200 on home athletic events by purchasing the pass for $75. You will also be eligible to earn reward points for attending games. https://gofan.co/event/4057017?schoolId=AL2404  

Step #2 - Download the Tuscaloosa County Athletics App from the Apple ios App Store or the Android Google Market.  

Step #3 – In the app, click the REWARDS trophy and create an account with your TCSS email account. This will allow you to check in when prompted at athletic events.  

Step #4 – Check in when prompted and collect points to win. 

 

     Soccer will hold make up Try Outs for Flag Football and Football players THIS WEEK- Nov. 13-14 from 3-5 on the track field. Must have a current physical and bring your own cleats.  

 

CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

    Come out to Wildcats in the Word every Wednesday morning in the library. Bible study, worship and games- starts at 7:30. 

 

    Come out for FCA’s (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) next huddle Tuesday November 18. It starts at 7:15am in the community room.  All are welcome to join- you do not have to be an athlete. Worship, the Word, and FREE FOOD. 

 

    Join Art Club by scanning the QR code outside the Art Room.  All information about meetings will be emailed to you. 

  

    Fan Club is a social group for students interested in gaming, manga, fantasy, sci-fi, and all things fandom. All are welcome to join!  For more information, see Mrs. Black in the library, Mr. Buchwalter room 1404, or Mr. Hinton room 2416. Club dues are $10. Join us in the library during Advisory for our next meeting on Wednesday, November 19.  

 

    Advisory Competition Canned Food Drive! Today and extended to Friday Nov. 21st – Bring in canned goods to your advisory classes and the Advisory Teacher whose class brings in the most amount will win a donut party and shout out on social media as the winning advisory!

    Worried about not passing your Shelton Dual course?   Please see Mrs. Mac in the Counseling suite or email her at jmcgillivray@tcss.net BEFORE NOV 18th if you need to withdraw from your course.  If you participate in UA Early College, please reach out to your UA ADVISOR to request withdrawal procedures.
